Dana M. McNabb

Group President, North America Retail and North America Pet

As of June 1, 2026, Dana McNabb will assume the role of Chief Operating Officer.

Dana McNabb is group president of General Mills’ North America Retail (NAR) and North America Pet segments, with responsibility for beloved and iconic brands like Pillsbury, Nature Valley, Cheerios, Annie’s, Totino’s and Old El Paso, as well as Blue Buffalo, Tiki Pets and more.

In 2024, McNabb was named group president of NAR, General Mills’ largest and most profitable business segment, with nearly $12 billion in net sales last year. She quickly advanced plans to improve business performance while simultaneously initiating a new approach to consumer landscape research and long-term planning, resulting in improved market share with key consumer segments. And in 2025, McNabb added North America Pet to her responsibilities, accelerating the company’s pet innovation to lead in key growth spaces.

McNabb’s previous roles include:

  • Chief Strategy and Growth Officer, where she was responsible for the company’s enterprise growth capabilities and portfolio shaping.
  • Group President, Europe & Australia, where her leadership led to the segment back to growth.
  • President, U.S. Cereal, leading efforts that attained U.S. cereal category leadership for the first time in 15 years, accelerating growth in net sales and operating profit.

McNabb joined General Mills in 1998 in the Canadian division, and her marketing experience spans the company's major businesses, including Cereals, Snacks, Meals and Dairy. She also has extensive global expertise. In addition to her time leading the Europe & Australia segment, she served as vice president of global marketing for Cereal Partners Worldwide (CPW), the General Mills cereal joint venture with Nestlé based in Switzerland.

McNabb holds a bachelor's degree in commerce from the University of Ottawa, a master's degree in business administration from the London School of Business, and she serves on the board of directors of CPW.
